 The Virtual Home Manners tests assess ten skills that well-mannered pet dogs need in the home setting.  The skills relate to the dog owner having control over the dog, being able to walk the dog (which is one of the most frequently cited activities that owners want to do with their dogs) and developing a bond with the dog during playtime. 

You will be provided with the specifics of the test items listed below and the your video reviewed by DogStar Training USA

1. Allows Owner to pet
2. Allows owner to brush the puppy
3. Sit (can use food lure)
4. Down (can use food lure)
5. Come when called from 10ft inside the house
6. Got to place (for 15 seconds)
7. House training
8. Plays indoors with family
9. Out for a walk
10. Exercise outside (playing with family)

1. Owner pets then grooms dog
2. Sit without food lure
3. Down without food lure
4. Come when called (indoors 20 ft or another room)
5. Manners Related to Food
6. Dog's behavior with doorbell or knocking
7. Go to place (stay 1 minute)
8. Demonstrates relationship - Play indoors
9. Out for a walk
10. Exercise outside

 There are five different ring setups for each class from which to choose. You and your dog are judged the same as you would be at a regular trial; however, some of the exercises are different than what you will see at in-person trials.

2. The competitor will set up a pre-designed AKC Rally course, video record the team’s performance, and submit it to AKC.
3.  AKC will assign a pre-selected AKC Rally Judge to virtually review and score the team’s Rally performance. 

If your dog has earned a Canine Good Citizen certification there are only 5 additional tricks needed for the Novice title.
